North Elementary School Connector

 Alpha Associates, Inc. is currently providing the North Elementary School with an enclosed connection between three (3) separate and distinct buildings. The design draws from its relationship to the outdoors and creates an outdoor classroom for Pre-K to Middle School age children within a safe and secure courtyard. 

The main building link is a two-story connection with stairs and an elevator. The link extends in a T-like plan connecting two (2) single-story buildings to the Main building. Alpha was able to overcome constraints such as existing locations of windows and mechanical louvers on the main building, unifying the three (3) buildings with different materials, and not taking away from the learning environment, but enhancing the atmosphere. 

Materials were chosen to reflect nearby structures and echo its Agrarian forms.
