CPASS Building | West Virginia University

The College of Physical Activity and Sports Studies (CPASS) in Morgantown, West Virginia is a combined project of 120,000 square foot that borders the newly renovated athletic fields, also designed by Alpha. It is home to the new West Virginia University Student Health Center (SHC) as well as three large general-purpose classrooms that seat 50 or more students and five other classrooms, among other features.

In addition, there is an athletic training room and lab, fitness room and computer lab that serve students from all colleges within the University. The Student Health Center brings together the traditional student health services, WVU Urgent Care, and Carruth Mental Health under one roof. The adjacency to the Student Recreation Center and Towers dormitories makes this an ideal location for these functions on the campus. Brick, cast stone, and natural stone facades bring the Georgian aesthetics from the original Downtown campus with a hint of the modern forms and detailing found elsewhere on the Evansdale Campus.
